Humble Beginnings

I started my career as a graphic designer after graduating from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA, with a solid background in print and illustration. Over the years, I worked closely with clients from mid-start-up firms to Fortune 500 organizations.

Moment of Impact: Inclusive Design

Learning about accessibility and building products with an inclusive lens has been my North Star ever since I heard Kat Holmes (Author of “Mismatch: How Inclusion Shapes Design”) speak about inclusive design.

Mindset into Action: NoVA UX Talk

Creating a culture of diversity and inclusion is not the job of a single person; it's a multi-faceted effort. So I partnered with my Navy Federal colleagues and started advocating for inclusion and accessibility, which led to our first-ever speaking engagement at NoVA UX in Arlington, VA, about inclusive design.‬

Giving Back: Urban Surf 4 Kids (Surf with the Blind)

I volunteer as an in-water coach for Urban Surf 4 Kids every year during their "Surf with the Blind and Visually Impaired Surf Therapy Event" held in San Diego, CA. Urban Surf 4 Kids is a unique outreach organization that works with orphan youth and foster kids. In addition to being an in-water coach, during the pandemic, I created a video drawing tutorial and downloadable coloring pages for the families and friends of the Urban Surf 4 kids Organization who stayed home during the school year (2020-2021).
